a therapist circle

Therapists and mental health practitioners are invited to join a Therapy Circle dedicated to reflection, connection, and renewal.  Together, we will explore the challenges, fears, hopes, and losses that arise in both clinical practice and personal life.  Designed as a restorative space, this circle offers an opportunity to receive support, deepen self-awareness, and connect with peers in an environment where your voice, experience, and wisdom are respected and valued.

a men’s group

Men of all ages and backgrounds are invited to a facilitated, safe and inclusive therapeutic environment where I will guide the group as we work through themes including relationships, work, and commitment.

This is a powerful experience of comraderie, where we will learn and heal through deep sharing, witnessing, and support while exploring the poet, David Whyte’s. concept of ‘apprenticing to vulnerability’.

“There is a genius that can only be found in our coming together, and it’s our combined abilities that elevate and strengthen us.

When we share our stories and dreams, we are accepting help in the shouldering of grief and responsibility. By extension, our windfalls and triumphs belong to us all.

In a sharing circle, we are cross-pollinating our wisdom and broadening our storylines, moving the locus of our attention from competition to collaboration.

No longer governed by personal lack, we begin to make decisions as an ecosystem would, from the appreciation of our indivisibility.”

why groups & circles

In the words of Resmaa Menakem, “More than anything else, we humans want to belong.” During these times of hyper-individualism and disconnection, circles offer us a vital space to heal in community, creating cultures of respect, inclusivity, and belonging.

The groups and circles I offer are facilitated, therapeutic and emotionally safe spaces where we can explore thoughts and feelings, bear witness to each other, and form deeper connections. For those of us that carry relational wounds, they also offer us a place to relearn what relational safety, reciprocity and belonging feels like.

Research shows that group work can be as effective as individual therapy. As noted by Judith Herman, “(t)he solidarity of a group provides the strongest…antidote to traumatic experience. Trauma isolates; the group re-creates a sense of belonging. Trauma shames and stigmatizes; the group bears witness and affirms. Trauma dehumanizes…; the group restores…humanity.”
